Centenary Concert at Derby Cathedral – July 8th 2017

Derby Cathedral full of expectant listeners

What a wonderful evening this turned out to be. Over 250 people came to the Cathedral to listen to two local choirs – Derventio Choir and The Dalesmen and one of the Opera Babes, Karen England.

Each choir performed a number of songs and several joint items. The star of the show was Karen England who thrilled the audience with a number of well-known and not-so-well-known arias from opera and operetta.

Karen’s voice filled the Cathedral space and delighted all those attending.

The three beneficiary charities – Treetops Hospice, The Padley Homeless Centre (Derby) and Amasango Career School (South Africa) – will each be in line for a hefty donation.

Thanks to all those attending and helping and singing in this superb evening of entertainment.
